Location: Yichang, Hunan, China
Application: Bridge Lighting
Lighting Products: Architectural Flood Lights, Linear Lights, Wall Washer Lights

The Wujia'gang Yangtze River Bridge is located in Yichang, Hubei Province, spanning a key segment of the Yangtze River. Positioned within the buffer zone of the Chinese Sturgeon Nature Reserve, the project area is also home to protected species such as finless porpoises and Chinese sucker fish.
To preserve the natural ecosystem, the bridge adopts a 1,160-meter single-span suspension design, avoiding the construction of piers in the water. This approach ensures uninterrupted fish migration, maintains river navigation, and protects biodiversity—demonstrating a balance between infrastructure development and environmental conservation.

The bridge is not only a vital transportation link but also a symbolic urban landmark. The lighting design transforms the structure into a dynamic night-time attraction, combining architectural aesthetics with ecological sensitivity.
· Dynamic RGB lighting gradually illuminates the main towers and suspension cables, creating a layered visual effect
· Cultural elements, such as the city flower and water-inspired patterns, are integrated into the lighting scenes
· Laser lighting systems generate flowing lines across the sky and water, enhancing spatial depth and artistic expression
· The interplay between river reflections, moving vessels, and bridge lighting creates a vibrant and immersive nightscape
The result is a harmonious fusion of engineering excellence, artistic lighting, and natural surroundings.

Advanced anti-glare lighting design to minimize impact on aquatic life and passing vessels
High-stability LED fixtures ensuring consistent performance in humid, river-adjacent environments
Intelligent control systems enabling dynamic color transitions and scene programming
Energy-efficient solutions aligned with sustainable urban development goals

The completed lighting project has become a new visual landmark in Yichang, enhancing the city’s night-time identity while maintaining strict ecological protection standards.
Achieved strong client recognition for lighting quality, stability, and glare control
Successfully balanced aesthetic impact with environmental responsibility
Contributed to the development of Yichang’s urban expressway network and tourism appeal

The Wujia'gang Yangtze River Bridge lighting project exemplifies how modern bridge lighting solutions can integrate technology, sustainability, and artistic design. It stands as a benchmark for future infrastructure lighting projects, where ecological preservation and urban development go hand in hand.
